Bishton hall dates back to the mid-18th century and was owned by a number of families and has had many uses in its time, he most recent being a school which opened 1954 and closed in 2018, its now owned by Charles Hanson, Auctioneer who is passionate about the history of the building and is restoring it to its former glory.

It’s no wonder it has many unexplained happenings with its many uses and owners. The original wooden shutters on the upper floor have been heard slamming, door handles have been heard turning and there have also been many reports of a lady dressed in period clothing, being seen looking out or walking across the upper floor windows. Staff believe this to be the former Miss Charlotte Sparrow.
The feeling that someone has walked past you when no one is present is reported within the entrance lobby, and the feeling of being watched and footsteps heard coming from the former servants’ kitchen, living quarters and cold rooms. Mists and dark shadows have been seen in the cellars which were once used as a bathing and showering area. Many refuse to enter this area alone.
The old school is situated within the stable blocks and again this is also an area that many won’t enter alone.

What to expect:
Working alongside the team you will split in to small groups to work through the buildings in group sessions using both tradition and scientific methods of investigation such as table tipping, Ouija boards, evp sessions with the intention of interacting with the spirits that reputedly haunt the buildings.
NOTE** This location has many stairs and uneven floors so please wear sensible footwear. Due to the stairs and flooring this location may not be suitable for guests with walking and mobility issues, please check before booking.
