GHOST HUNT AT CHILLINGHAM CASTLE BRITAINS REPUTEDLY MOST HAUNTED CASTLE

Chillingham Castle stands within the beautiful area of Northumberland. The castle is renowned for some of its ghostly inhabitants and boasts some of the highest levels of paranormal activity in the country with many reports of ghostly goings on reported by visitors over the years. We will investigate the Courtyard, Great Hall, Chapel, Minstrels Hall, Edward 1st Room, Torture Chamber, Still Room & Dungeon where the ghostly figure of a lady dressed in white wanders, whispers of long-forgotten conversations echo through the halls. The Blue boy, Lady Mary, a tortured child, the Royal procession and many other famous ghostly tales, Chillingham retains them all. Chillingham has records of eighteen Knights of the Garter, the family also had no less than eight famous, well recorded, executions. Some of these were hanged, drawn and quartered and while still alive, they were cut down from the Gallows to have their entrails removed, the failing body was cut into quarters and the head was displayed on city gates, as a warning. Other members of the family, who were more fortunate, simply had their heads chopped off. Not all of Chillingham Castle’s ghosts are those we see. There can be a sense of something unseen yet distinctly moving, a chill dark creeping sensation, or maybe just an oppressive atmosphere. The voices of two men are often heard besides the Great Hall talking. It is never possible to follow their words, as they stop talking if one makes serious efforts to trace them. Are you ready to confront the ghosts of Chillingham Castle?

PLEASE NOTE THIS EVENT IS SUITABLE FOR OVER 18’S ONLY UNFORTUNATELY, THE CASTLE IS NOT SUITABLE FOR WHEELCHAIR ACCESS OR THOSE WITH LIMITED MOBILITY AS THERE ARE LOTS OF STEEP STEPS WITH NARROW ACCESS, SPIRAL STAIRCASES WITH ROPE HANDRAILS.

What your night will include:

Working alongside the team you will split in to small groups to work through the building in group sessions using both tradition and scientific methods of investigation such as table tipping, ouija boards, evp sessions with the intention of interacting with the spirits that reputedly haunt the building.

Hot drinks, bottled water, biscuits and snacks provided.

There are toilets on site

Strictly No Alcohol or drugs

Sorry no under 18’s or pregnant women allowed

No smoking or Vaping within the building, a designated site will be highlighted to those that require it

Please wear warm clothing and sensible footwear and bring your own torch

This location may not be suitable for wheelchair users and people with mobility issues 

 This is NOT a sleepover event therefore you will be required to stay awake for the duration
