Of Bookings
Circle of Friends do our best to ensure that all events are conducted in a professional manner. When attending an event, you accept that all services provided are for entertainment purposes only. We cannot guarantee that any paranormal activity will take place and therefore we cannot make any guarantees regarding validity and truth behind your own personal experiences whilst at an event. We will however guarantee that all of our events are organised and are conducted under controlled conditions at all times.
The following terms and conditions are to ensure that you are fully aware of the nature of the events that are organised and run.
1. Due to the nature of some of the events the following restrictions must apply:
· The minimum age for participants on all of our events is 18 years or older.
· No alcohol or drugs should be consumed prior to or during a ghost hunt event. If it becomes apparent that any person is under the influence, they will be asked to leave the premises regardless of the time, weather, or personal circumstances. No refunds will be given in these circumstances.
2. Due to the law no smoking or vaping is allowed indoors at any event. There may be designated smoking areas at some of the events but please be advised that they are likely to be outside and we cannot guarantee that these facilities will be readily available.
3. Due to health and safety restrictions at the locations, no pregnant women will be permitted to attend an event.
4. Circle of Friends do not provide any sleeping facilities at any of the events unless otherwise stated. Some locations do offer overnight accommodation; however, the onus is on each individual to arrange any booking for required rooms. Circle of Friends do not accept any liability for any accommodation booked if for any reason an event is cancelled.
5. Circle of Friends will not at any time accept responsibility for any loss or damage to equipment vehicles and or effects belonging to you or party. These are your own responsibility and will remain so. Circle of Friends are not and cannot be held responsible for the safe custody of attendees’ property, for its loss, damage or theft.
6. Circle of Friends will not at any time, location, or event be liable or responsible for any loss or damage to equipment belonging to the participants, during and after the event, even if caused by, for example, suspected paranormal activity.
7. All personal belongings, clothing, equipment, vehicles, and or effects belonging to you or members of you party are your own responsibility and will always remain so. Circle of Friends and not and cannot be held responsible for the safe custody of attendees’ property, for its loss, damage or theft.
8. In the event of any unforeseen problems, accidents or incidents that may happen during an event, all members of your team are advised to have in place their own third-party public liability insurance. Circle of Friends cannot and do not accept any liability for any accident or injury to you or death, however caused.
9. Circle of Friends reminds all persons that all paranormal investigations by their very nature can be quite reserved affairs, as well as being fun. Disruptive behaviour of any sort will not be tolerated out of fairness to the other guests. Throughout the organised event you and your party will be expected to act at all times in a sensible manner and that will not cause any harm or injury to anyone else or effect the property etc.
10. Any event due to take place wholly or partially in the open air could be affected by adverse weather conditions. In this case, Circle of Friends reserves the right to relocate the event to an area which is undercover. In most cases all our events will still take place and it is your responsibility to bring suitable clothing to match the weather conditions of the time.
11. Rarely ghost hunts are cancelled or postponed, due to adverse weather conditions or situations out of our control, but if the event has to be cancelled, moved or re-scheduled we will refund to the value of the event booked or difference in price for an alternative venue. Any expenses including travel, or accommodation incurred by yourself or your party, due to cancellation of a ghost hunt is not the responsibility of Circle of Friends and will not be refunded or compensated in any form.
12. Circle of Friends only use professional paranormal investigators and mediums: however, any and all statements made by our paranormal investigators and/or mediums are the sole opinion of the individual paranormal investigator and/or medium and do not reflect the opinions or policies, stated otherwise, of Circle of Friends. No perceived predictions, opinions, information, advice por comments made by our paranormal investigators and mediums should be interpreted as factual or actual. You, the guest, are responsible for making your own decisions and opinions and it is understood that when our paranormal investigators and /or mediums suggest something to you, it is an opinion of the paranormal investigators and mediums and should NOT be interpreted as the only course of action.
13. Please note that Circle of Friends accounts and information regarding any paranormal activity occurring at the locations are not fabricated in any way shape or form. Although Circle of Friends have on occasion witnessed and recorded paranormal activity in these locations we cannot and will not guarantee that any paranormal activity will take place on the night of the event.
14. Circle of Friends do not recommend that guests participate in any Circle of Friends events if they suffer from any serious or mental or physical impairments. Please assess the suitability of the event. If you suffer from any other significant medical condition such as epilepsy you must report this at the time of booking. Circle of Friends will not and cannot be held responsible for the consequences of any trauma experienced before, during or after any of our events.
15. Circle of Friends encourage all guests to bring and filming, recording or photographic equipment for personal use. Circle of Friends may also use certain recording equipment, whether in digital or videos or audio recordings and these may be used on our Facebook page. You may inadvertently appear in imagery that appears on the Circle of Friends Facebook page. You hereby agree to their use.
16. All event bookings made with Circle of Friends must be paid in full at least 4 weeks prior to the event date. Any booking/place not fully paid will be cancelled. All deposits are non- refundable regardless of circumstances unless we have to cancel the event.
Circle of Friends Cancellation/ Refund policy
When you agree to a place on an event it is entirely your responsibility to ensure that you are able to make the event date that you are booked on as we cannot offer a refund if you or any of your group are unable to attend if cancelled within a period of 4 weeks prior to the event date.
The reason for this is that most locations are paid for in advance which means we are liable for these costs even if you cannot make the event.
It is the responsibility of the customer to arrive in time for the event and advise us of any potential lateness prior to the even commencing. Event specific contact numbers are made available prior to the event. It is not always possible to accommodate late arrivals at certain locations.
By agreeing to the terms and conditions detailed and set out by Circle of Friends you further indemnify the organisers/promoters and all team members associated to and within, working with or for Circle of Friends from and against all legal liability, in respect of any costs, claims, damages, suits, penalties, actions, proceedings , losses or expenses in respect of or arising out of the injury to or the death of any person, or damage to any property arising from my participation in the chosen Circle of Friends event.
All event bookings made through Circle of Friends constitutes your acceptance of our Terms and Conditions in full. Circle of Friends may amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.
Whilst we endeavour to have a medium on some of our events in the future, this is not always to be the case.
